Common help topics
How does the calculator work?
Type a duration expression like 2h 35m + 3h 45m + 50m and the result appears live, in hours-and-minutes and decimal hours together — for example 7h 10m (7.17 h).
How does elapsed time handle overnight spans?
Enter a start and end clock time. Spans that cross midnight wrap automatically: 10:30 PM to 6:15 AM gives 7h 45m. You can deduct a break, and the app shows it honestly even when the break is longer than the span.
What does the converter do?
The converter translates between HH:MM and decimal hours both ways — 7:30 equals 7h 30m equals 7.5 h — with quarter-hour chips for payroll-ready values.
Does the app work offline?
Yes. All calculations, history, week sheets, and settings work on your device with no account and no internet connection.
What is Hours Pro?
Hours Pro is a $3.99 one-time unlock that adds unlimited named week sheets, CSV export, and pay estimates. All calculator math stays free forever — pay once, no recurring charges.
How do I restore Pro?
If you have an eligible prior Hours Pro purchase, open Settings and choose Restore Purchases. Use the same Apple ID that made the original purchase.
Is this payroll or legal advice?
No. Pay estimates are arithmetic on numbers you type, shown with the exact hours basis. Always verify against your employer payroll records.
